Well after seeing Tim johnson's meatloaf cook thread it made me hungry for one and it gave me a reason to use a bunch of venison burger I had left. So on saturday after I got home from work I fired up the wsm and put the loaf on. Here's a few pictures.

A BIG thanks to Tim for the inspiration on this cook.

Is that all venison or a mixture with beef/pork? I have some vacuum sealed venison in the freezer, but probably not enough for an entire meatloaf. I was thinking of using it for some chili but meatloaf sounds good.

Thanks all. I tasted it saturday and it was pretty good. I made it to bring in to work for lunch for me and some others so we will see what everyone else thinks later on.

Chris-
We have our venison ground up and mixed with 20-25% pork. I used about 4lbs of burger for this meat loaf.

With any luck in two weeks I will have a fresh supply of venison to put on the smoker.

Tonight or tomorrow I will be doing venison jerky. It's been curing since saturday so it should be pretty good when done.

I am always looking for something different to do. When I saw the thread and how good it looked I knew what I was going to do. Usually I just roast/smoke the hind quaters or straps, take burger and make chilli, sometimes meatballs for spaghetti, sloppy joes, I even cut and do jerky, but sometimes I try to come up with that thing that makes you go hmmm I wonder what this would be like.
