I have had a charcoal go-anywhere that I got from ebay for some time, however I was a little irritated that the vents open up once it is all closed up which means it can spill ashes (or even re-kindle) once you pack it up.

I recalled using my brother in law's before this and not having the same problem. Looking at the design I thought about trimmimg some of the lip off the vent to allow the legs to fold past it but luckily never took the plunge.

On visiting my BIL the other weekend I noticed - his vents are on the other way up (ledge to top)!
Simple solution - ping the legs off, flip the vents and all is fine. For a while I questioned the Weber design department's competence. Tsk.

I imagine the ebay vendor took it apart to clean it for sale and put the vents back on the wrong way up - and I never twigged. O)n looking at the stock pics on the web it's obvious.

Now I'm so much happier with it.
