One of my favorite comfort foods. Still needs to get a little cooler here before I can make a pot of it.

I made this once years ago and loved it. Though to me making the dumplings was a pain. I would have never thought of using the pre made biscuit dough. Do you just add the biscuits whole or do you cut them into pieces? Gonna try it this way next weekend. Thanks

Looks beautiful Larry! I make dumplings two different ways: sometimes I mix up a batch of Bisquick and drop spoonfulls into the simmering broth, and other times I'll make a rolled pasta dough and cut little diamonds. Either way it's my all time favorite comfort food, and yours looks awesome!

I use Bisquick too. I roll them and cut them with a pizza cutter. I like my dumplings small

Yep, just separate the 10 individual biscuits and plop them in. I've rolled them into balls, makes no difference.

My ex-mother in law used to make the bisquick ones and they were good, but too much work for ME!!! I am LAZY LAZY LAZY and opening up a can of premade biscuits vs. actually mixing bisquick will win everytime with me!!! Eeker Big Grin
