I was going to say mammal. Then I was thinking why limit and say vertebrate, but then I'd miss out on all the great invertebrates (clams, squid, lobster, etc.). so I'm going to say metazoan.

can we still eat plants?

Seriously though, this is a silly debate, we all know the correct should be pig. Big Grin

Chicken! If I chose only beef my arteries would be D.O.A. in no time at all. Only pork and I would be the size of a pig just as fast. With chicken you say what about the chili? Chicken Chili is gooood. And with chicken I will live longer to BBQ into the "bonus years".

Fish. Unless I had to choose just one variety of fish. Then I choose chicken, the other white meat.

I'd go with beef and take my chances just like I've been doing for 67 years. Smiler

OMG - What a cruel question - You did say one animal didn't you? I just recently bought a 22.5 WSM, an OTG Grill and a Black Performer. I haven't given them near enough workouts yet so I would definitely have to go with an Elephant. I'm enjoying all the recipes and advice I've gotten from this forum to just limit the rest of my Q'n life to one animal unless it was a "Big-un". It definitely has to be Elephant. lol - Thanks for asking. Bob B

A big move by beef in this latest round. Pork goes cold. Chicken and fish make an appearance.

The thought of never having a steak again forces me into the beef camp.

It never occurred to me how many different things I enjoy that are derived from pork. I mean...I LOVE beef. Big steak lover. That being said, I can't believe I'm saying this. Oink.

The cow is nipping at the pig's hoof. I'm surprised it's this close. I underestimated the power of the beef.

Don't get me wrong anyone...I love my steaks. But bacon has my heart.

One more for Chicken.

It's easy to flavor, plus I've never heard of a cow-egg omlet, just pies. Ewe!

I'd have to go with beef. Its not just the steaks, but simple things like burgers, tips, stew, chili. Not sure I could do without bacon though.
