Decided to make a pot of turkey and dumplings with some leftover turkey I made the other day. Man is it good, just wished it was a little colder outside to really enjoy a bowl of comfort food.

Live in San Diego, and hoping for colder temps, eh?
What, 50's or 60's?? Big Grin

John, that bowl of T&D's looks like it would taste great in Death Valley, in the summer, at high noon!!

lol, I ate a bowl after it was done and outside temp was in the 70's. When I finished I was starting to sweat, and wishing it was a little cooler.

It's plenty cold here in Virginia this morning.......would it be rude if I asked for a bowl of that John? Man that looks great!

Looks great! Would you mind sharing your dumplings recipe/technique? Dumplings are something that I haven't managed to perfect, yet.

1/2 onion
3 stalks celery
handful baby carrots
butter
turkey( I saved the bones, I think they add a lot of flavor)
poultry seasoning
cumin
black pepper
Bisquick
Milk

Dice carrots, onions and celery and saute in butter till onions are translucent.
Add turkey and add water to just cover the turkey and simmer till turkey pulls from bones and remove from pot.
Add poultry seasoning, cumin and pepper to taste.
Make dumplings using directions on side of bisquick box
Add dumplings and simmer till they start to sink.
Add turkey back into pot.
I like mine a little on the thick side so I add a little Bisquick to some milk to make a paste and add to pot as a thickener.
