I'm finally replacing my 11 year old iMac with a worthy replacement. I work at an Apple Store and my jaw dropped when I saw the new screen, it's HUGE!. I cant wait til it gets delivered. I'm going from a 15" screen to a "27" and from 233 mhz G3 to a 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel i7, from a 4 GB hard drive to a 1 TB drive, and from 32 MB of ram to 4 GB.

Apple

Mine is a 24" screen that we got earlier this year. 27" is over the top. Nice.

We have some 24" ones for a few of the classrooms at school. The only problem is I cannot see the students unless I stand to the side of the classroom Smiler

My 89 year old dad is using an 18 year old PC running DOS, which I gave him about 16 years ago. He just uses WordPerfect 5.1 to write stories. It cost a couple of thousand dollars when I bought it, and that was 'cheap'. It's amazing what kind of computer the same money gets you today.
