I just checked how much charcoal I have and it's about 350 pounds. It's mostly Weber premium briquettes, plus some no-name briquettes and a bit of hardwood lump.

How much charcoal to others have?

-Mark.

I am down to about 120 lbs of brand K. I am working out a deal with a couple of friends to get a pallet of hump lump and a pallet of hump briquettes. I have access to a truck dock and forklift at work, and storing it there is not an issue.

I've found some stores are honouring the $6 off Kingsford coupon with the 12 lb bag of Kingscomp... so I've been buying that.

Aaw MAN! I wish I had that stash!

I was up to 1000 lbs (50 bags) of Rancher last summer, now I'm down to about 10 bags of Rancher and 1 bag of RO lump.

I don't have much (10 bags or so), but that much will last me a long time since I don't cook as much any more. Had to lose weight so now most cooking is for vacuum packaging and later use (convenience).

One thing I do have in my stash however is 5 boxes of Kamado charcoal. That stuff is great for long cooks. I bet I can get 24 hours out of a box. I'm saving it for a chuckie and when I do 4 butts. Basically, meat packing. Big Grin

Wow. I feel really strange. I usually only have 4 or 5 bags laying around.

But I usually smoke about every other month right now.

i'm glad you brought this up Mark, i've been meaning to check and this was a good reminder.

as of last nite, almost 500 pounds of Wicked Good left (23 bags - 10 kilos each), and 40 pounds of R.O. lump.

i gotta say that i bought 30 bags of W.G. in the beginning of july, ran my backwoods party and my performer every weekend (only ran my wsm maybe 4 times), and i only used 7 bags...the stuff seems to burn forever!!! i had thought i went through at least 10-15 bags, but not even close...i'm really liking the W.G.

OK,I'm jealous! Smiler We have a fairly small house, with limited storage. But there is a wally world right about 2 miles from the house, and the closest grocery store (1.3 miles away) carries K,Comp K,and Full Circle lump year round. So if I'm needing a bag,it's really close to score some.

Hi,my name is Phil,and I'm a Q-A-Holic! :-)

I wish I could just go down to the local store and buy some charcoal but here in Finland there's only one good charcoal available, and that's Weber premium briquettes, but it can be difficult to find - Particularly in the winter, so I stock up when I can. I now have 150Kgs, plus about 50Kgs of no-name stuff. I was always taught to save the best 'till last, so I'm just woking my way through the no-name stuff, but I might just get rid of it because it creates light ash which floats up and sticks to the food.
