I usually get my ribs and butts from Costco but we recently also got a Sams card. Are the ribs and butts comparable to Costco? I really don't care for the butts at Costco because all they have are boneless but I do like their ribs plus Sams Club is a little closer to the house.

John,
Here in the St Louis, MO area our Costco only sells bone-in butts.

I don't have a Sams Club card, but you might want to check labels there, since Wal-Mart Superstores offer mainly enhanced pork.

I actually think the ribs and butts are better from Sam's than costco, I usually buy spares, and at Sam's they sell them in three packs, and the Butts are sold bone-in and two per pack.

I buy my ribs (usually loin back) and most of my butts at Sams, especially if I am doing a larger cook. Prices and quality both are very good.

The meat is not marked as enhanced so I am hopeful that it is not!

The butts are two to a package, bone in, fat cap intact and usually are IBP or Excel brand.

Never been to Costco. We get our cases of babybacks, cab whole briskets, and bone-in butts all from Sam's. Never received any enhanced products and the quality is always good. Supposedly the prices are as good as, or better than Costco.
