There is a pic in Rick Browne's Grilling America book that shows a Kansas City Chiefs fanatic at a BBQ Competition and everthing is painted in the Chiefs colors in a zebra style. The tent, the tables etc and a WSM. It looks pretty cool. I guess if you want different colors you will have to make your own modifications. When you upgrade to the 22" WSM, then play with your old model with different colors. Just a thought.

This has been done, late 80s-early 90s, on Smokey Joes. Every once in a while, I see one on CL, and even eBay. I missed out on a Kansas City Chiefs SJ last spring, so I am still looking. quote: red, white, and blue WSM would be a big seller for 4th of July
At the Weber Grill Restaurants, they put out a r/w/b kettle around 7/4. Red bowl with white stripes painted on, and a blue lid w/ white stars.

Soren, that one gets my vote. Either that or sea-foam green, circa my grandmother's 1949 refrigerator. I have very fond food associations with color...
