Yesterday my wife and I went to see the new movie "Julia & Julia". It is a touching story and I learned a lot about the Julia Child we never saw. It is supposed to be true (and I expect most of it is).

Very entertaining and I recommend it as a relaxing movie - not a lot to learn about cooking but "good clean fun".

Ray,

It's good to see that you are "secure enough in your manliness" that you are willing to see this chick-flick with your wife.

My wife wants me to go and see it with her as well - and I guess that if you like good cooking, learning a bit more about Julia couldn't hurt.

Ron,

Go see it - and you will be glad you did. There are humerous moments that will make you laugh (like when Julia is testing some cooked pasta and says "not done - it's as hard as a stiff c**k").

And yes, you might say it is a chick flick but I enjoyed it.

My wife keeps talking about wanting to see that movie, but some how the name puts me off Smiler

I think I'll encourage he to wait until it's out on video - Then I can surf here and keep one eye on the movie.
