soooo i'm looking at grates on new q's and notice, not for the first time. that the bigger q have the grates in two halves. was thinking that it would be nice on the q200 series also. why didn't it happen on the 200 series ? reason is that it would be easier to use smoke pouches, etc when smoking and such.

I have a CharQ, which is the same size as the Q200. The food grate came in two pieces.

ok, thats what i saw and forgot. i guess they thought it was not needed on the q200 series but is needed on the char q. i guess on the q300 series its needed cuz it would just be to heavy. i know a split one won't work on the q200 series cuz there is no support built in to the housing. will have to think something up.
