I see these rack type things at home depot that you set your turkey on for cooking upright "kinda like a BQ chicken". Is this worth buying? I have alway done my turkey's on their backs breast side up at a lower heat. Would this help in making criper skin on high heat? Just looking for improvement.

It's a 'gadget' and I highly doubt it would help with crisping the skin or improving the turkeys finished state whatsoever! Save the money and buy a six pack! Big Grin

I have a poultry roaster rack that I got from Weber. It holds the turkey upright and makes it very easy to just lift the rack with turkey off when finished cooking. I just use two pot holders, grab the rack and lift it. No tongs and no piercing of the turkey.
