I use Kingford. Bird just over 10 lbs (not a whopper by any definition). Almost full charcoal ring with a 3/4 full chimney of fully lit kingsford on top. Let it get to temp before bird went on. With all that charcoal and with the temps high it really uses it up. That creates a lot of ash. Be sure to occasionally poke em with a stick to knock the ash off. If it builds up too much the temps will definately drop on you.

Got mine on about 20 minutes ago. I did a minion with 25 K,and 1 3/4 chimneys K, ambient temp is 39. I've got 2 bottom vents wide open and 10cfm running full blast. Currently at 215.
