Happy Thankgiving everyone! i'm about to puy the bird in the smoker. i've got a maverick remote thermometer with two probes, one for the smoker and one that goes in the meat. I've used the meat thermometer in pork butts and it's fine, but they're very forgiving, and lots of meat and fat to slide it into. Do people use remote thermometers in turkey? No big deal; i can check after 2.5 hours with my kitchen meat thermometer. Just thought I'd see if anyone is around, or if you're all cooking and watching football... N
