in the past i've owned 2 18" kettles, one given as a hand-me-down, the other bent out of round by my mother in law by pinning it against the garage door wall with her camry.

a 22.5 platinum performer that i had for a few years before it was stolen out of my backyard in the middle of the night one labor day!
must of been an important component to a trailer trash bbq in the next town over.....

now i own a baby-q, which makes great steaks, burgers, chicken breast, or pork chops.
wedging little hickory chips in the grates so they catch fire is very effective at flavoring.

i have a genesis gold b, which i don't break out too much unless i need it for volume cooking. i live in a household of 2, so it's more for mass amounts of burgers, chicken etc.

my most used (3-4 times a week, year round),
is my 22.5" platinum performer, (second time i've owned one). if i had top only own one, it would be this because i can make almost anything on it with a few techniques.

i bought my WSM last summer, and have around 20-25 cooks on it, and everyone loves the results.
if i didn't have to work, i would cook on it everyday.

this year i think i may add a BGE to the lineup, just because i'm interested in learning to use it....maybe in a couple of months..

1- 22.5 silver
1- Great Outdoors Smokey Mountain (36" charcoal)
1- Genesis Silver A (brand new)
1- WSM (brand new)

Having another kid so wanted a gasser for convenience. Got an unheard of deal on the Silver A, so wife said I should get the WSM with money saved since I knew a place still selling them for 180. She didn't want to pay 250 for one when the SMS rusts through (I just painted it to help prevent rust). So WSM is in box for now. My modified SMS get's 8 hrs on a single load of charcoal (w/ sand in the pan) so it's actually no problem.

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of cooking low and slow is no vice. And let me remind you also that moderation in pursuit of perfect bbq is no virtue.
