I received both when i bought my Performer of CL the stamped coal but the wire ones look like they would keep more air on the fire therefore hotter anyone have experience with both?

Baskets are easy to move while hot..rails are not.
The Stamped are much easier to clean up with. just lift out the baskets after you are done. With the wire ones all the coals fall out when you lift the rails.
Try putting some unlit coals in the bottom of the baskets and add a chunk or two then add lit coals on top.You'll get a longer cook with your favorite smoke flavor.( mini minion method)
