I should have a cover for the 2002 SS Performer I picked up. I saw one at Lowe's today and wondered whether it would fit mine. It seems the SS performers were longer than the current ones. Looking at Weber's site, it states the cover is for Performers from 2005 on.
So, what do folks use for covers? Just a generic or is there another Weber one that I am overlooking?
Yes, the cover that fits the plastic table performers will not fit the stainless steel table models. You can get the cover for the SS table models from Weber direct. You would be hard pressed to find one sitting on the shelf though in a store. I think Weber wants 50 for the cover plus a little for s/h.

I have a red s/s '98 that I restored. After replacing almost every part, it looked brand new, I had to get a cover for it..looked everywhere for the older ones, just not out there. I broke down and got one from Weber for $50. Grill is under a covered patio but...keeping the elements off will add many years to your grill.
