I saw an episode of Throwdown w/ Bobby Flay the other day and they made sticky buns. Well it's hard to watch that and not want some so I'd like to try it out, but the recipe that the challenger provided is badly written. It talks about 30 minutes of machine kneading for a brioche dough and a 6 hour cold proof. I'm not an expert, but that doesn't sound right. Will someone take a look at this recipe and tell me what doesn't look right? Thanks guys.

Lots doesn't look right to me. Too much butter for the dough. The 6-hour cold proof is senseless. Too much sugar for the topping. And the pic makes them look very unappealing. (You're right: badly written, badly arranged recipe.)
