My wife loves the vinegar based sauces. I myself am pretty partial to the thicker, more sweeter sauces. Which usually wins out because I am the one who does the cooking. So I want to surprise her and make a pretty good vinegar sauce to go on a pulled pork butt(pulled pork sandwiches)for this weekend. Ideally, I would like to incorporate some sweetness to it but I have no idea if this is realistic enough to stay true to the vinegar based sauce. Any and all suggestions welcomed!!

I second Kevin's suggestions...both of them are good ! Like your wife, we don't like the sweet sauces that seem so common today. Here's another one that we like a lot ! It DOES get sweeter when "aged" Dean... Weber kettle; WSM; Smokey Joe; Aussie gasser (for those quick burger nights <g> ) ! |

Dean, Thanks for the recipe. This looks like a winner also. It looks like it's going to be a busy weekend. Any info on the "slaw" recipe? Never used to put slaw on my pulled pork until I was down south and now I never go with out it!! Thanks for the reply. Brian D |

Brian, Thanks for the reminder ! I never DID post the slaw recipe ! I'll get to work and put it in the "Side Dishes" section, and post the link here ! I, too, never used to put slaw on my PP....but my brother lived in Wilmington, NC, for a while, and after spending some time with him, I developed a taste for slaw-topped PP, as well Dean...
