Just wanted to bump this old subject back to the top of the list.

The rate of new members joining the BB has doubled this year over last, and the number of pages served per month is up 50% over the same period last year. The number of new posts per day has about doubled. As a result, my costs are going up, up, UP!

So please do me a favor. Make sure to keep your posts "tight". Try to avoid excessive chat. Click the "Reply with quote" button only when necessary, because you see threads where the quote portion gets longer and longer and longer, and that ends up using more storage and bandwidth.

And if you'd like to throw a few bucks my way to help keep this playground open, please feel free: http://tinyurl.com/2hjdeo

Regards,
Chris

No, Weber does not support this site financially or through advertising or through product donation or in any other way. They only thing they do is sometimes refer WSM owners to TVWB when they call Weber Customer Support with questions.

From day one, I have intentionally stayed away from any connection or business relationship with Weber. I feel this gives me the freedom to say what I want about their products without fear of losing their support. From the perspective of my readers and BB members, it means that I don't have a conflict of interest, I don't owe Weber anything, and I can tell it like it is whether Weber likes it or not.

The support for this site comes soley from people who appreciate the content and make the effort to shop using the Amazon links, make donations by PayPal or Amazon Honor System, purchase TVWB merchandise at Cafepress, or send me a personal check.

Regards,
Chris

OK, I feel I must ask this of the regular players here on TVWBB. I just love this forum and love to play here. Step up to the plate and make a donation for the cause. Thanks, B

I stepped up!

This place has opened up a whole new culinary world for me...I would never had purchesed a WSM if it wasn't for this site. I love the wealth of knowledge that resides here and the great way people will step up and help a noobie. I get involved in way too many hobbies and distractions ( or so my wife says... ) and on forums...helping out the noobs seems to be a rare virtue. But not here. This is a wonderful place...Thanks Chris.

I have no visibility to who made the two contributions through the Amazon Honor System, but thank you, whoever you are. Smiler

I try to support the site by buying bbq-related stuff through amazon links here.

That being said, I do find it ironic that a topic that started out as a "hey, keep things on topic" post has morphed into a "how this site receives support" thread Smiler

Guilty as charged, Ryan! Apparently, even I am susceptible to the creeping, off-topic conversation.

Thanks for the reminder,
Chris
