I have had my first WSM for about 6 months now, and am amazed at how easy this unit cooks! I look forward to learning many more new things here in the forum, and sharing a few ideas and thoughts.
Also have the 18 1/2 inch and 22" kettle. |

Welcome to the forum Phil, if this is the first time you've visited the boards you are in for a treat. I dont know what I would have done without the help of everyone here. I've gained alot of knowledge over the past year. Always glad to see MN/IA people join up.
Brandon Fake it till you make it. |

Welcome Phil, be sure and try some cold weather cooking. I smoked a brisket last Thanksgiving weekend.

T Muotka,
I did one too last Thanksgiving...but it was a wreck!!! I can't remember what unit I was smoking with at the time, but I could NOT keep my temps up!! I ended up finishing in the oven, but it was NOT my best brisket by any means! I am looking forward to some cold weather smoking with the WSM! |
