Hello everyone,

I live in far Northern CA about 20 miles south of the Oregon border. Just got a new weber 22.5 OTG and will be putting it together this weekend. Have a chargriller superpro too and love that thing! I got it in May and used it all summer long and cooked some great meals on it. I just put it away for the winter in the garage since the winter weather here is pretty rough on barbecues and I didn't want to leave it out on the desk since our deck is uncovered.

The gas BBQ will be put in the garage for the winter in another week or two.

Wanted something I could move easily from the garage to the deck since won't be barbecuing a whole lot this winter. Maybe 2/3 times a month so no sense it leaving it outside during the winter so getting a 22.5 weber OTG made perfect sense!

This is a great forum.

Welcome, and it's ok you can say it.. You live in the REAL Northern California.

I've lived in the SF Bay Area for 9 years now and I still can't figure out why this is called NorCal. It looks like it's smack dab in the middle of the state to me. And while we're at it, why is San Luis Obispo /Pismo Beach called the Central Coast?

Hi Brian - Welcome to the forum - Hey don't let a little weather slow your BBQ'n down. I lived in Alaska for 40 years and we BBQ'd all 12 months and our next door neighbor's were Samoan and they had big cookouts several times a week. lol. You will like your Weber Kettle. Get a couple fire-bricks from the hardware store to separate direct/indirect cooking and you can even do some Low and Slow on it. You will find a lot of the folks here have done that when you go searching; several with pics. Next year it will be the WSM. Your an addict now. lol. Bob
