Held annually at the Cleveland county fairgrounds. They had 54 teams in 08 with a stellar field.This year their are 63 teams,with Mike Davis w/ LottaBull,Quau, and Big Mo from Aho, just to name a few. I was lucky enough to be selected to judge, and I am stoked for this one! I hope that anyone who is in the area will come out and support the teams, The Good ol'USA, and BBQ in general.

Sorry,it took so long to get back to you. I have to wait till my wife gets off her computer to post. Mine won't let me post for some reason. Anyway,no,this isn't. A group of us went to the Blues,Brews and BBQ in uptown Charlotte a couple of years ago. We had a blast!

Congrats to all. We took the god son. You should have seen him ooing and awing over the cars (he's 10 months old and all boy!)! When we walked around the cooking area,everyone was busy getting ready for turn in,so we didn't bother anyone. Did buy a cool t-shirt from the Grillin' Gangsters. It says"You can smell my butts for miles." The missus thought it was appropriate for me!

That was a good contest, but man was it COLD Friday night.

I was happy with my finish considering the crowd that was there. But it's still hard to go from 1st at the last one to 16th at this one. LOL
