Hey all, just wondering if anyone has pictures of turn in boxes with beef tenderloin as their misc. turn in. I have never done one and need some help. Anything at all would be appreciated!

Erik,

I would never do meat as a Misc. or Anything But turn-in. The judges are full of meat by then and are looking for dessert.

I believe Jim has the right idea here.I judged a couple weeks ago and the judges would have tipped Grannys wheelchair for the tables that got desert.

Cornbred,

I would suggest not slicing the meat before turn in as it will lose juices and flavor. Maybe mini filets would be a good idea.

This particular Anything Butt is a Friday evening turn-in, prior to the Saturday contest. Desserts are not allowed as a turn-in for this particular Anything Butt since there is also a seperate dessert category Friday night.

See you in a few weeks.
