Just received my SS door from Cajun Bandit, fits like a charm, nice upgrade. It does fit snugger than the stock door. Also bought 2 black gate handles from Home Depot and mounted them on the mid section. They fit where the existing grate/water pan bracket bolts are. Just had to cut the top 1" off the handle with hack saw to fit perfect. Found this mod on this site as well! Looks like they were made for the 22.5 and no drilling required.
After seeing the address from Cajun Bandit, I noticed they are only a little over an hour from me, not sure if they have a brick and mortar shop or not.
Did I need the new door, not really. Will it work better, probably. Does it look great, yes! Just adds a touch of class.

If you change your door to a S.S. be sure to relearn your kettle's new temprament if you plan on doing overnight smokes.
