The diameter of the hole on my new Cajun Bandit door is much smaller than the knob on the 2009 OEM door. Any suggestion on a fix beyond drilling the hole wider?

Seems like pretty heavy gauge steel, so I'm wondering if my Ryobi drill has the torque to get through it. Never mind finding the right type of bit. That's why I asked if anyone had another solution beyond drilling.

Drilling the hole out isn't that big of a deal. Get a brand new bit, and use oil while drilling. It's not like you're trying to drill out hardend steel. A sharp bit and oil to keep the bit cool and help with the cutting. Wink If you don't want to mess with it, take it to a machine shop. They can do it for you, for a few $.

Chris at CB responded to me this morning and said he'd get the new handle, check the size and send me a new door with the proper size hole. Now THAT'S customer service!

Could just use a step drill bit as well.

Chris now sells doors drilled for both the new and old style handles (you just specify which one you need when you order). And I got an email yesterday that the 22.5 door is now available as well as an improved charcoal ring for the 22.5. That may be the last push I need to purchase a 22.5"!
