Has been discontinued by the company. Didn't generate enough revenue to last. We really liked it. Sad.
Anyone have any experience with the Zip-Loc hand pump version?

Pat,
Same thing happened to me--found out when I sent the wife to Walmart to score some bags to put up six-butts-worth of pulled pork. She came home with the Zip-Loc bags, and we gave them a go.

I have been disappointed in the Zip-Loc's. Everything went fine on the front end, but as we are retrieving pork from the freezer, I'm finding that most bags have lost their vac-seal and have a good bit of air in the bag. Read some of the reviews on Amazon...seems like a common problem. On the plus side, the bags seem to hold up to water bath reheating better than the Reynold's bags Roll Eyes

I'm having the same problem with the Zip-Loc
bags holding a seal. I was thinking of putting a
piece of freezer tape over the valve to see if it
would help

i've been mostly pretty pleased with the ziploc. given their cost i think it's a real effective product for medium-term storage.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess we'll try the Zip-Loc pump. Really liked the Reynold's,especially for the ability to open and reseal easity. greta for things like cheese and sliced lunchmeats.
