Does anyone know if Weber uses the purchase date or manufacture date code for the warranty?
Thanks

They use the date code stamped on the damper, unless you can provide proof of purchase such as a detailed, dated receipt. I guess it is possible one could purchase a unit that's been sitting in a store over a year, and find yourself 10 years later needing relief under warranty, but I'd bet those situations are few and far between.
