Just missed an opportunity on Craigslist by about 30 minutes. A woman had a FREE 22.5 RED Kettle posted. It was a OTG I beleive , picture looked like it was in excellent condition, only thing missing was the hook inside the top.
major bummer. She was giving it away!
Question- has anyone fabricated the metal bracket that the ash catcher ring hangs on? Weber does not make that part any more, my 98 RED SS performer is in need of one. I just ordered a new ash sweeper and a cover from weber. It has been uncovered for 2 years and starting to show some rust on the bottom kettle. I have temporariloy wired the ash ring to the leg stubs, but it is kind of tacky.
