Thanks Chris. By any chance have you ever seen the Performers offered with Free shipping? I'm assuming "No" due to the weight involved.

I don't know as I don't follow this item closely on Amazon. Right now only third-parties are selling the Performer with shipping. Your best bet is to wait and see if Amazon itself starts selling the item as we get into barbecue season. Maybe they will offer free shipping, but you're right, perhaps shipping weight is too high for that.
