I got an older Performer and it did not come with the refill adaptor. Do I need it and where can I get one?

Mine is in the bottom of the charcoal bin just in case I ever do need it. However, I have always gone back to the Ace Hardware where I bought my first Performer to refill my 5 lb tank, and have never needed it.

So, you should check with your local refiller and see if their equipment fits your tank. It probably does, and you probably won't need the adaptor.

Performers: 2002, 1999, 2001. Ranch Kettle. 1985 18.5 OTS. WSM - $40 at Target.

I get my tanks filled at the local Agway and they have the adapter for my old Performer along with other adapters right where they fill the tanks. They just attach what they need and fill away.
