I found an old grill looks like an old weber but no markings ?? any one know ?? thanks..........AL

It's my understanding that marking began with "A" in 1979. Prior to that, no marks.

Before the letter markings, the old ones
were stamped Weber-Stephens Arlington Heights
IL on the vent on the lid.

I've had Happy Cookers that look similar and people mistake them for Webers, and Sears had an "Economy" kettle that has the date code but no Weber markings on the vent. It is still listed on the Weber parts site.
