was just messing around before using the
motor and took a look inside. interesting
that most gears are metal but one is plastic.
anyway, being the mechanic that i am i decided
to check the screws. whoa, the ground wire was
loose. then i checked the motor screws and they
were not really loose but not snugged either.
don't know if it might cause problems down the road but would suggest folks get in there and
tighten things up.

Yup... Seems kinda silly to add all them metal gears then that one plastic gear??? Actually, there is a reason for it... I think...
LOL!!! Most high torque apps would use only metal gears. This however, uses a higher speed motor with several gears to slow the speed down and raise the torque up. Hence the reason for the plastic gear right off the motor and the rest of them being the "torque up/speed down" gears. Why not make them all metal? LASH! Plastic gears do not develope lash like metal gears do at high speeds. Hence that ONE plastic gear is the ONE that spins the fastest.

If it's a Weber rot. it is under a one year warranty. I've replaced a few of them but not very often.

Good luck to ya!

If I wasn't an expert... They would fire me!
