I have the Weber warming rack for the kettle and was considering the following scenario. I'm going to do a butt and fattie on the grate and was thinking about putting 2 slabs of BBs on the warming rack above the butt and fattie to expand my capacity. Anybody try this? Results, thoughts, opinions?

Thanks!

its worth a try... i havent done that but its an idea... you might want to "wire" the warming rack to the grate so that it cant move around as easily...just a thought

If you load up a cooker in such a way that it is hard to rotate or see what is going on, or that it would take a long time with the lid off to move things, then I think it compromises your results. Also, that would be a lot of weight for the warming rack. It might be a little unstable.

I'd be more inclined to use two different kettles for such a cook, rather than load up one with that much. It appears from your sig as though that would be an option for you.
