Do I have to buy the whole rotisserie unit for the 22.5 inch kettle? Already have the rotisserie unit for the Silver B gas grill. I was hoping I could just get the kettle ring and my existing rotisserie spit and motor unit would fit? Anyone know? Thanks

Give EZ Que a call or Weber if you have their rotis I don't think you're going to be a be able to use the same spit/craddle and motor on your kettle.

I bought just the ring for my 22" kettle. It came with the motor mount. Cost around $50 I think. The spit and motor from my Silver B gasser work fine on it. The groove on the handle side of the spit doesn't match up and rest on the ring but it still turns freely.

Steve,

Where did you get the ring from? When you say the ring, I assume you mean the extention piece between the lid and the bowl of the kettle. I have only found it sold as a rotisserie combo.

Not to but in on Steve, but I bought a ring only directly from Weber years ago in order to be able to grill a large turkey at Thanksgiving.

I think it was from webergrills.com. I've never seen just the ring listed and I don't think they like to sell just the ring, but they will sell you a "replacement" ring if yours got damaged Wink Again, I think the price of the ring was around $50, maybe more, and I think I paid fair chunk for shipping too, $15 maybe. The whole setup is only $99 + shipping though.

Regrettably you have to get the whole rotisserie unit. They don't sell the components separately, and the length of the spit is a little different. It looks to me that Weber COULD have designed the spit to fit both the Genesis AND the kettle, but nooooo! They did not.
