Anybody have a stoker hooked up to their kettle? How do you like it? What type of equipment did you need to buy? I would like to put one on my performer.

Jason,

My kettle is a bit on the large side so it took a couple cooks to get mine to work properly but the Guru does work fine. I'd imagine it would work better on an 18 or 22 1/2" kettle. Haven't tried it at grilling temps though Wink

I should mention, there's NO way you're gonna get the same long cook times as in the WSM ~ It's gonna take some refueling for anything longer than ribs (at least the way I cook 'em, it will Cool )

It mentions on Rock's site that you can use it with the kettle though it's not detailed out how to. If you have an older kettle with the separate adjustable vents, I'd assume you could hook it up just like you would to a WSM, if you have the one touch system, the site notes you need additional parts to block the vents.

If your looking to do low and slow, you'd be better off spending the money on a WSM instead of the Stoker.
