Sometimes it's just too good to be true but it wouldn't be the first amazing deal I've seen on the internet. Oh well, my BBB is right down the street so it's no problem to return it.

Just to update people on the Bed bath and beyond deal. My WSM shipped yesterday, if the shipped weight is correct it is not the 22. So I contacted my local store, and talked to the manager. He said looks like they screwed up, he is not sure which weber I am going to get. So here is the good news, he says in the event it is the wrong weber, they will get the right one. Also I told him I might be willing to keep the 18 if they took another 100 bucks off. He said no problem. So anybody that ordered from bed bath and beyond needs to understand, just dont give in and bring it back. Why would you do that. Manager said this is there mistake and they will make it right.

Just to add one more confirmation. I too ordered the 22" WSM from BBB and UPS delivered the 18" yesterday. I called BBB and the (very helpful) woman who answered said they were out of stock on the 22". So she credited my card, and set up a UPS pickup for today to return the 18". I then ordered the 22" from Amazon, which is what I should have done in the first place.

BBB said that they would get me the 22" if I wanted it but it could take up to a month. Part of me would rather keep the 18 and just get to smoking. The 18 might be all that I need. BBB has been very helpful throughout the entire process. It's just a mistaken description. I'm kind of surprised that they haven't changed it by now.

BBB called back and said the 22" would be here in a day or two. I guess I might as well upgrade. $258 for a 22" is still a great deal.

I looked on BBB site, the 22" is no longer there as it used to be on page 3 of all the Weber supplies they offer. So I called customer service, was told it has been discontinued. Do you think they erred with pricing, thinking it was the 18" or just got in a certain amount in?

I found the same as you did Howard. Before they took it off the site, we tried to order one from the store, only to be told that their computer had it as manufacturer backorded, which froze the store's ability to order it. On the bright side, although it was not the same crazy low $250 that others paid, the 22.5 is available from RAC Enterprises online. Enter Weber15 in the coupon code section, get free shipping and you will pay about $340. I ordered Wed night, it shipped Thurs am and is due at my door Mon aft. I can taste the ribs already.

hey guys, how long does the free shipping usually take? I think this is the best deal on amazon right now, at least better than anything else I've seen for the 22 1/2. I sure miss my old 18 wsm so I need to get a new wsm. Say there is something wrong with the shipment, will Amazon make it right or would I have to take it up with Weber?

I suspect it would be the same as any shipment. Amazon would need to get $$$ or return authorization from the shipping company depending on how bad the WSM is. Weber would be involved it the box is in good shape but you find damage inside that does not look like shipping damage {like missing parts, or a handle broken without box damage}

I was lucky and found an Amazon NIB but damaged box for $155.99 for an 18" WSM. it arrived with a couple of bad rips in the box that had been taped up, inside was a brand new, in perfect shape WSM

hope this helps

Adrian,

The delivery time just depends on where you are located relative to where they decide to ship the WSM from. They have several shipping locations across the country and there's no predicting where it will ship from.

If the unit is damaged, don't bother contacting Amazon. Just call Weber at 800-446-1071 and they will ship replacement parts for free.

Please help support TVWB by clicking the links on the homepage if buying from Amazon.

Regards,
Chris

I was just at an Ace Hardware today in Franklin Park, Il. and saw a Weber Smokey Mountain on sale for 249.00. And yes, it was the 22". I had double check it to believe it. Unfortunately, I don't need one and don't have the room for one. After that, I went down to another Ace Hardware about 10 minutes away and saw the same grill on sale for 399.00. I told somebody working there what I saw at the other Ace and they told me all Ace Hardwares can make their own pricing. I almost bought the one for 249.00 just because! If anyone is local to there, you might want to go grab one!

Well darn, missed it by a week! Good news is, I did use the TVWBB support links for the WSM and the extras. Too bad there isn't a "price match" feature. Still need to do my first smoke on this new 22"

It's $239 again (or maybe it was $239 all along?)
