I've recently been looking into buying a Guru. After looking at the Guru website, I have come across a very simple question that I'm sure some of the folks on here can help me with. Is the Gure powered by batteries, by a standard outlet plug, or both? And is the AC adaptor included in the price of the Guru or do you have to purchase that separately?

Thanks for you help. This website is great!

The included AC adapter is 12 volts.

You can also buy an adapter that connects the Guru to your cars cigarette lighter or to a 12 volt battery.

The 12 volt adapter with one of the "jumper battery device" you can get from costco or sams etc. Will not only jump start your car, but power Guru for a week of cooking while camping. We have done overnight brisket cooks camping. Have also done ribs, then turned the Guru heat up high enough to cook a pie.
