I wanted to come with a healthy version of bacon wrapped shrimp and here is what I did. Started with the jumbo fresh water shrimp that comes all ready deveined. Thawed and removed shell. Seasoned shrimp with Zatarain's. Stuffed with fat free cream cheese. Wrapped in thin slice ham (6 slices 120 calorie) and secured with toothpick. Grill 2 - 3 minutes per side. Really turned out great. The shrimp did not over cook and the ham held the cream cheese in. Was very tasty.

I've made a similar dish. I wrap each shrimp with a large basil leaf, then wrap the shrimp with a strip of prosciutto (Italian ham). Then grill or toss them in a skillet and cook until the prosciutto is crispy.

Delicious.
